Clear words. Personal care.
Your memories.
Your choices.
A clear distinction between removing a gift, erasing local drafts and managing copies in iCloud.
Updated 11 October 2026
There is no separate app password
The current Apple family experience uses your device’s Apple account. It does not create a separate email-and-password account on this website. Deleting family data is different from deleting your Apple account, and you do not need to delete your Apple account to stop using the app.
Correct or remove a gift you sent
Open your gift’s details to check the available edit and removal actions. For an eligible future gift, use Edit opening date to correct its date. Removal for everyone is controlled by the verified account that originally published it, not by selecting another grandparent’s name.
Updated recipient apps apply a sender’s removal on their next successful connection. If a device is offline, it may still show the old copy until then. Exported files cannot be recalled, and older recordings without verified publishing identity may be retained for safety.
Erase local drafts or stop using a device
First make any recovery backup or ordinary copies you want to keep. In the app, go to Settings → More options → Erase this device’s library. Read the confirmation carefully: this is a local-library action, not deletion of every copy held in Apple’s cloud or by recipients.
Uninstalling the app alone does not reliably remove private iCloud records, shared collections or exported files. Data can return when you reinstall and sync with the same account.
Private iCloud copies and invitations
Use Apple’s sharing controls to review participants and stop or leave a share where available. An independent recipient copy can remain after the original share ends.
If you want to remove all app-related data held in your own iCloud account, contact us for guidance before deleting it. The current app’s local erase action is not a one-button cloud-data purge. We cannot directly erase every private account’s copies from our support mailbox or remove another person’s exported files.
Save your information and change permissions
An author can make a recovery archive for their drafts and authored gifts. Keep its recovery key separately. Once a received gift opens, use Prepare a copy to keep to save ordinary files outside the app.
Camera, microphone and notification permissions can be changed in iPhone or iPad Settings. Turning off notifications stops permission for alerts; it does not delete stored gifts or retract an invitation.
An earlier service account
If you explicitly connected to the earlier delivery service under More options, it can have its own account and stored data. Open that service’s account screen and choose Delete service account, then follow the confirmation and any ownership-transfer instructions. This action is separate from the current Apple family experience. The configured service operator controls its records and should explain its deletion and retention policy.
Ask about information we hold
For access, correction, deletion or another privacy request about support correspondence or other information we actually hold, email contact@tonycsmith.com. Explain your request without sending your Apple password, verification code or recovery key.
We may verify the request before acting. Apple-held account information must be managed through Apple’s own tools. More detail is in the privacy policy.
